Here at Blue Sky we try and buy at least one Luis Anibal (Villa Betulia) coffee a year, its one of our oldest running single origin relationships we have.

Luis Anibal Calderon’s coffee totally slaps! If you are paying attention you will notice we have two up this year. This Chili Bourbon is our second.

Villa Betulia is well known for exhibiting a wide range of seldom seen varietals. Some will recall the Ethiopia we had from Anibal last year.

Chili Bourbon is (obviously) Arabica coffee, its named after the curiously capsicum-like smell of the fruit. Weird right! Its not spicy, nor has it been infused.

Expect quality acidity, like all good washed coffees. Well articulated malic, Tartaric and ascetic acids like an Apricot that’s just about to ripen, Cantaloupe, Plum and Nectarine Supporting and a long lingering finish.
