Colombia- Villa Betulia, Ombligon, Washed.
Villa Betulia has been a staple of our buying for years. Just everything we love about Colombian coffee: the diversity of Varietals, the Diversity of Processes and the perfect plant husbandry make this farm a jewel.
Is it even a Blue Sky Singles list without a Betulia? Literally had at least one every year since I took over in 2019.
Ombligon Coffee Variety is an Ethiopian landrace, cultivated in Huila, Colombia. It has great potential due to its Ethiopian genetics. The cherry has a belly button shape on the base. Which is why it called by locals Ombligon (Belly button in Spanish!)
Expect Full mouthfeel, Acidity akin to a lime. More acidity than Yellow Pacamara, which we also bought this year. More grapes and nectarine and slightly higher body. Overall Bright and lip smacking. Strongly recommend trying them together.
