Burundi- Kayanza, Yeast Ferment, Natural.

from A$22.00

Dusangirijambo Coop is located in central Burundi in the Karuzi province. This coop was established in 2013 and is under the umbrella of  COCOCA which is a union cooperative of coffee growers in Burundi. Coffee is delivered in cherry by small-holder farmers in the region to the Bugenyuzi washing station for processing.

This coffee is Bourbon Varietal, expect big body. This is also a Yeast extended ferment, this coffee is very, very sugary. Also pretty full on. It has amazing Pineapple flavors that are huge! If you are into tasting just how far a ferment can boost the fruit characters in the coffee (Without infusing fruit) This is a great coffee to wrap your taste buds around.

Expect flavors of: Pineapple, Bright Yellow Grapefruit, Tropical Fruits, Paw Paw, Nectarine, Apricot and Guava. Long lingering finish, Lots of funk. Rindy Orange tactile. Good Drinking in a filter.

Pairing suggestion: get this coffee and a bag of the Diviso Geisha, you can compare what a more expensive and more experienced fermention can get you. Both great coffees but like a '23 and a '13 Bottle of wine that price is determined by clarity and residual cleanliness.
