This coffee is the very essence of Blue Sky’s commitment to bring you the best coffee we can find, Farmer Pablo Guererro has been experimenting with ultra high altitude 2300masl coffees for years. This particular lot, being the Geisha varietal is a remarkable achievement.

Geisha being a low yield and generally fragile varietal to grow in any conditions doesn’t seem like a suitable candidate for higher altitude farming which typically carries significant risks for the plants as their metabolic rates slow down at higher altitudes with greater levels of filtered sunlight.

However the careful and expert agronomy practices have in this case paid off: Higher elevation has yielded a stunningly clear cup profile with very well structured sweetness. The washed process of this coffee has added clean, distinct acidity with low sourness. Expect few flavours but with maximum articulation of flavours and very low levels of bitterness on both the palette and in the aftertaste.
